2023 Member Tournament Schedule
Below is the schedule for member events this season. Start times are approximate based on registration. More details including how to register will be posted on this page closer to event dates.
2023 MEMBERS’ TOMBSTONE TOURNAMENT ANNUAL BANQUET
It’s that time of year again. The Members’ Tombstone Tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 30th, 2023, with tee times from approximately 9:30am – noon, RAIN OR SHINE-😊
This is a members’ tournament; however members are welcome to invite one guest. The cost is a $10.00 prize fee for members and a $50.00 green fee/prize fee for guests). Registration for this event is open until Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Please register by signing up in the locker room or sending an email to Dave Dyer skidyer@gmail.com. Please indicate the tee colour your handicap is based on.
Players receive 72 strokes, plus their handicap. Deduct the strokes used for each hole and when you use your last stroke, place your tombstone provided where your ball comes to rest. Prizes will be awarded for golf performance and skills, tombstone design and various draws. Complete tournament rules and a list of prizes will be provided with the draw prior to the tournament.
To qualify for handicap related prizes, e.g. first, second last and last to die, a participant must have a valid handicap in Golf Canada. Participants without a handicap are still eligible for prizes for the skill competitions, tombstone design and other draws. Handicaps for the tournament will be based on your handicap as of midnight Sunday, September 24, 2023. Please ensure that your handicap is up to date by entering all your scores in Golf Canada prior to this date.
The Tombstone tournament will be our annual dinner, awards banquet & entertainment. Chef Liam is preparing a delicious buffet featuring Slow-roasted AAA Roast Beef marinated in our special blend of spices with Red Wine “au Jus”; Lemon Dill Whole Roasted Atlantic Salmon Fillet, Baby Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad with Assorted Dressings, Creamy Broccoli Salad, Greek Feta Penne Pasta Salad, Steamed Mixed Vegetable Medley, Basmati Fried Rice, Rosemary Roasted New Potatoes and a desert table you won’t want to miss! The cost for the banquet is $42 plus HST and gratuity and will go towards October restaurant minimums.
